Ceci’s Otello NeroDiLambrusco: tasting notes

Tasting notes for our flagship wine, which just made its debut in Los Angeles!

Otello NeroDiLambrusco

Cantine Ceci’s flagship wine, widely considered a benchmark for the appellation. The grapes for this wine are picked in early October. They then undergo temperature-controlled maceration on their skins for 5-7 days. Extraordinary red-violet in color with rich, seductive aromas of strawberries, blackberries, and raspberries and unmistakable violet notes in the finish.

Grape variety: Lambrusco.

Color: Purple-red with notes of ruby.

Tasting notes: Complex aromas and seductive notes of wild berries ranging from strawberry to raspberry to blackberry, with splendid notes of violet in the finish. In the mouth, the wine is intense, smooth, and round, with excellent balance thanks to its delightful freshness and polished tannins.

Suggested pairings: Perfect for Parma’s most noble dishes but it also delivers with flying colors when paired with other Italian dishes and world cuisine. It’s great with salumi like Prosciutto di Parma or Felino salame. And it brings healthy balance to dishes like bollito misto or egg pastas.

Keeping the (English-speaking) world safe for Lambrusco and a couple of microtexans and their beautiful mother.
