Otello and Náni make for another winning pair in the 2018 Bibenda guide.

The only sparkling wine from Emilia Romagna to be awarded this coveted prize.

Yet another win for Cantine Ceci in the 2018 Bibenda guide, with two labels awarded the “5 Grape Bunches” prize. It’s the second time that the new sparkling wine from Ceci, the Náni di Otello 2015, has won the prestigious prize from the guide’s editors. And it’s the only sparkling wine from all of Emilia-Romagna to have obtained this accolade. And this edition of the Italian Sommelier Foundation guide marks the tenth time Ceci’s Otello NerodiLambrusco 1813 has taken a turn in the winner’s circle among Italy’s best wines.

The Torrile winery couldn’t have been more thrilled when the owners traveled to Rome to accept the award at the gala event organized especially for the occasion, with top media and leading wine professionals in attendance.

The Ceci family expresses “its heartfelt thanks to the Italian Sommelier Foundation for its commitment and professionalism in the daunting challenge of selecting wines from thousands of labels submitted for the competition and its excellent guide. We’d like to dedicate these prizes to our staff because our success is owed to their superb teamwork.”
